  • Toothpaste: humectants, bodying agent, flavoring agent, shelf-life extender, crystallization inhibitor
  • Mouth wash: bodying agent, humectants, flavor retention, shelf-life extender, crystallization inhibitor
  • Emollient creams & Lotions, Shampoo, Conditioner, Hair Styling Cream: bulking agent, conditioner, humectants, plasticizer, gloss enhancer, texture enhancer, shelf-life extender, suspending agent
  • Brushless Shaving Cream: humectants, plasticizer
  • Liquid Soap:bulking agent, conditioner, humectants, gloss enhancer, softener, texture enhancer
  • Lipstick: gloss enhancer, softener, texture enhancer
  • Transparent Soap Bar: improve transparency, soft-effect of glycerine (other humectants) and foam formation (no “depressing” foam formation). 

 

Pharmaceutical Industry:
  • Cough Syrup (water base or elixir types): bodying agent, flavoring, and “anti cap locking”.
  • Therapeutic effects in certain application:
  • Dietetic product and “intestinal worm” medicines: Mild laxative effect
  • Energy Drink: improve the absorption of vitamin B12 and certain minerals such as F, Cs and Sr.

 

Chemical Industry:
  • Vitamin C (ascorbic acid): main raw material.
  • “Surfactant” (=surface active agent): raw material.
  • Polyurethane Foam: raw material
  • Plasticizer: The certain mixture of sorbitol and hydrated sorbitol (1,4-sorbitan) has wide application in the manufacturing of soft gelatine capsule.
  • Alkyd Resin: improve the drying time and reduce the solvent retention time during “rearrangement” and polymerization of polyester.   

 

Food Industry:
  • Dietetic/ “Reduced Calorie” of Foods & Beverages: lower calorie, mild laxative effect
  • Diabetic Foods & Beverages: Non insulin metabolism, low glycemic index
  • Non-Cariogenic/ Anti-Tooth decay Foods & Beverages: bacteriostatic property, humectants, viscosity & bodying agent
  • Deposit Candy and Jellies: improve the transparency of both deposit candy and jellies; and minimum Maillard reaction.
  • Ice cream: freezing point depressant, low calorie,     
  • Preserved Fruits, Tofu, Salted Fish, and Pickle: humectants, maintain freshness, natural texture and color of products.
  • (Banana) Cakes: avoid remnants/ crumb formation during cutting, prolong softness during storage refrigerator.

 

Others Applications:
  • Tobacco Industry: applicable as humectants agent in “casing step”, avoid acrolein formation in burned tobacco (while glycerine produced acrolein)
  • Leather Industry: softener to avoid cracking
  • Textile Industry: color stabilizer
  • Cow Ranch: avoid wound or irritation during “milking”/ “squeezing”
